From the aft deck we go down to the saloon, bright and spacious, the cream colour leather upholstery of the salon and dinette seems almost new, and the honey colour wood paneling gives a great atmosphere. headroom in the saloon is 1.95m. There is a bar fridge by the seat for your drinks (60L Electrolux). Opposite is the interior helm with all the nav. instruments and underneath, the inverter and battery charger.
A few steps down to the galley with on port side the work top, 4 burner gas cooker over a Dometic extractor, underneath the worktops is the main fridge (80L WAECO ) And on top on a shelf an electric oven. Opposite is the dinette in a semi circle shape at the same level than the galley, no steps here. The dinette can be converted into an occasional berth (1.20x1.80m) and further is the forward cabin with 2 single V berths (0.80x1.70) or with the infill, a double berth (2.40x1.70) the headroom here is 2m.
Coming back to the middle of the ship, in the saloon and under the carpet, the engine bay, a 110Hp diesel FORD engine is located, and 2 packs of 2 batteries are visible.
There is a Webasto Air Top blown air control panel but it has been impossible to confirm if the heater is still fitted or working if it is. For this reason the Webasto is not part of the sale.
Now going to the aft area, down to 2 steps. Those steps can be removed very easily and allow the access to the aft end of the engine and 2 batteries.

Broker's Comments
Dutch steel cruiser for sale in France. Boatshed Midi Canals is pleased to offer this VALK KRUISER 1200 from 1988 for sale.
It has been restored in 2015 which seems obvious in some parts such as the seating covers, the aluminium window frames ... Solidly built outside as inside the VALK KRUISER boats are reputed for their solid construction and this example seems to me in good condition outside and in.
Please note that due to unfortunate circumstances it was not possible to compile a definitive list of specification and equipment nor was it possible to test the equipment we have found. That said, it really did seem to me to have been a well looked after cruiser ideal for extended vacations in Europes inland waterways.
We always recommend that any offers should be made subject to survey and that is especially the case with this boat that we have not been able to test during our listing visit. But if your surveyor confirms my impressions this Valk Kruiser could be your next comfortable cruising home on the French waterways.
